Eyal Davidson

Eyal Davison was born in 1965 in Ramat Gan (Israel). He received a religious Zionist upbringing and grew up in Elkana in a family that pioneered housing in Samaria. He studied at the Noam Midrash of Pardes Hana. and in the higher yeshivot of Beit El and Or Etzion and in the Negev Brigade. He currently lives in Peduel, is married to Noga and has three sons and three daughters. He sees education as a supreme mission, which is why he has been involved in education throughout his professional life – first as head of the national training department of the Bnei Akiva movement, later as an educator in secondary schools and now as a senior lecturer in the training of the next generation of teachers in colleges of higher education. His educational work specializes in teaching studies of the Land of Israel and the history of the people of Israel, including guiding trips and training tour guides and tour guides. He studied mainly at Herzog College (teaching certificate), Bar Ilan University (bachelor’s degree) and Hebrew University (master’s and master’s degrees), and also holds a tourist guide’s license from the Ministry of Tourism and a tourist guide from the Ministry of Education.

His doctoral thesis focused on the world of the sages of 16th-century Safed. The eight books he has written and edited, as well as his academic and popular articles, deal with researching and teaching the history of Jewish life in the Land of Israel, and in Jerusalem in particular.
