EUGENE D. MATANKY
Eugene D. Matanky holds a doctorate from Tel Aviv University. His thesis, entitled “Esoteric labor: a material reception of the Cordoverian Kabbalah”, explores the various works – material, intellectual and cultural – involved in the formation of the Cordoverian Kabbalah. His research addresses issues of manuscript and print culture, sociology and the transmission of knowledge, hermeneutic reception and processes of canonization. His research has won several awards.
